The short and simple answer is NO! The ESTJ does not share the same values as INFP and does not see the INFP’s greatest strengths as anything of value. I had an ESTJ tell me quite directly after a date that there is no point in continuing the interaction because, in his words: “You are not a challenge. I compete with someone in the same shoes. The higher they fly, the more exciting it becomes. I have felt so drained for a week after I had to listen to you for an hour. I am not a trained psychoanalytic. I am digesting all your problems through myself, because I am having empathy. But this is not the intention of a date. I am not a charity. I am not your mother. I am not a Mother Theresa. I am not in a relationship with you. I just want to have a good time. Is this abnormal?” So, if you attempt to engage in anything beyond the superficial then you are wasting their valuable time. They do not care about your feelings or experiences. They do not place value in getting in touch with any interiority of humanity. No philosophy. Nothing that you cannot immediately see and touch. They seem to have a seriously low capacity for empathy. As low as the capacity that INFP has for conflict or socializing.

I’m interested sounds fun and can help others understand the functions better or if they already do it can help improve their understanding!

I feel being an INFP makes it easy for me to come up with stories when reading tarot cards for myself and others . The stories feel like they make so much sense and flow . I also find strong meanings from song lyrics and signs and synchronicities I am aware of everywhere . I spend a lot of time in my mind thinking about the deeper meaning of everyday things that happen and even longer on the magical things that happen or life patterns and cycles we sometimes get caught up on . I’m always trying to find clarity of the why everything happens and all of these thoughts make me stay in my mind way too much 😅❤ thank you for the video !

At some points in this video I could literally tell what you were about to say next, just resonating with ur words. I was also sketching something when you talked about doodling as a form of note taking. That made me laugh XD Whenever I try to sketch something I find it really overwhelming when I have a larger piece of paper to draw on cause I'm not sure if I'll get the size of the drawing right and all the emptiness makes it feel like there is just too many things to do to get to the final piece of the drawing, so I usually draw on note cards or stuff-

💯 Every cognitive function can be used as a hero or a villain. So, if we pay attention to those who are using them as heroes we can better see how we can do the same for our own life. Likewise we can look out for how others are using cognitive functions as villains. As we grow in understanding we can also start to learn how different functions/people affect each other.

Mover Se sounds like SLE and SEE in socionics. This is a great video, I really love Dario Nardi's work and recently saw some interviews with him talking about the subtypes, which was extremely enlightening, especially how he correlated cerain hormones or neurotransmitters with each subtype.

INTP here who currently have no friends. It's because people think with emotions and often times it conflicts with logic. Truth nevermind, emotions is the one that matters the most. Sorry Mr INFP, it's just so hard to accept that.

INTP here and it takes a lot of effort to use Se. In fact, I know that I often miss a lot of in the moment details that I triple check what I just saw/heard/smelt/felt

There is something about INFPs that I trust them. Both genders. For Ni doms I think is smart to create a set of principles that you revisit daily and update them. And adding there probably at the top to trust your intuition, even if wrong, the feedback will improve it. And is also just fun operating this way - INTJ

It’s easy for us to see and understand others. It’s very rare we fine others that understand us. The most isolating thing about being an INFP.

i started out studying and working from the age of 14 up until i was 28. first full time job: worked in a library. Ended up managing major projects dealing with digitization of books. 2nd job: worked in hospitals. PACs systems programmer, ended up developing training programs and tutorials. 3rd Job: manufacturing company. System Admin to database admin and programmer to managing tech at 2 companies. now a tech director. working under the CEOs. just work hard and jobs will fall into your lap.

I will say I am more a sensate than a mover, even though I am more facinated by the mover. I remember as a child I was idealizing ALF for him as a mover, since it would often led to novel shenanigans, which would led to a story. I often get into the conflict of being good versus just go for this and have a new story, even if it is the dumbest thing anyone has ever done. At least I would be able to tell the story of, how I did the dumbest thing anyone has ever done. That might be why INFPs has Se as their seventh function, imagine if we actually lived all the lives we live in our head.😄 We would at least be able to say, we were alive on our final day.😉

It often feels like I’m wasting time when I have to take alone time. But I have found that I can be so much more productive when I am centered. I try to have a goal that I will comeback to after I have rejuvenated so I have something to focus on my energy on.

I tend to gravitate more towards yang, yet again. Yin seems to be exclusively attached to my vices (sugary sweets, sodas, smoking) A recent example of this (Yang Se) is an interaction I had on a subreddit for a band that I love. A person had posted an image of Kamala Harris holding one of the band's albums. Many users chimed in, asking that politics stay off the page. Those users were downvoted into oblivion. The sentiment "it's not political" became popular on this post. So, I posted an image of Donald Trump holding a different album, and users lost their collective minds! I assured many of them that, just like the previous post with Harris, mine was not political. The feelings, oh the feelings. All that rage and anger over a picture that took me 3 minutes to make. Some of them even attempted to condemn me, saying that it's clearly politically motivated. But you see, I just did what they were doing. I simply turned it on its head. If I were truly a conservative, I'd have made a complete mockery of their feeble attempts to control the narrative. dude... is it normal for me as an ISFP to be bitter towards those that always misunderstand me? like whenever i try to get a point across it's always ripped to shreds... and trashed and they just seem to want to one up me... even though they may or may not mean it that way it usually FEELS this way... especially online- though it's starts to freak me out when it's happening in real life too... i don't want to give up on humanity (be a misanthrope and nihilistic) i believe in Jesus Christ i don't care if you do or don't (though I'd tell you to believe but it's not up to me but you..) and- for now i am just on auto pilot mode? lol mental health and personality type stuff is fun... life is somewhat strange and scary and beautiful at times all bundled up in one weird amalgamated ball in space of nothingness that just stretches on... jeez. oh wow, I can relate to all but there were a few that surprised me a bit. Especially 6 (I think someone is mad at me when they text me "more formally" i.e. in short sentences with a period at the end) and and 21.- I am usually all over the place but I love finding the "right" spot for things and make the surroundings look harmonious. Otherwise I really do struggle with keeping up with mundane tasks. And oh boy was I in turmoil when finishing Mass effect 3 and the ending did not convey what happened to all my companions. In shambles for days. Luckily they released an addon a bit later giving me peace. And also 10: The nose knows.

honestly, im still in the same, i like to train my body and track the progress of how much stronger i am as i like explore new ideas and concepts no matter how bizarre or weird they can get, i spend a good amount of time thinking about the past specially i compare other people's past with mine at the same time that i spend another good amount of time figuring out things, connecting the dots and go trought the essence of those concepts. what im sure about is that i am an IxTP so that also makes me think if something i mention before could be influenced by my Ti Dom

I really wish people would stop connecting the INFJ process of collecting data, pattern recognition, and logical reasoning with mysticism, "6th sense", or other "woo". We are not magical. We are not geniuses just because we can "divine" (maybe this is where it comes from?) an answer or an understanding about a situation, being, or future occurrence. We are puzzle solvers and creators. We turn things over, inside out, backwards and forwards until we understand it - and sometimes it's A compulsion we'd consider a curse rather than a divine gift! And before anyone scolds me about how we are indeed, geniuses (some of us) -- I'm certain that every personality has it's geniuses. We are simply humans. Complicated and weird at times, but human nonetheless. And often very loving.💜

Our inferior function is what we want to be good at ultimately but are often afraid of screwing up and so tend to avoid. If we always avoid what makes us afraid, we cannot grow as a person. For this reason, most of us don't achieve any sense of full enlightenment until we are much older in life, which is unfortunate. For ESTJ, they must grant themselves permission become that INFP philosopher they've always wanted to be. Unfortunately, it is quite common for aspirational personalities to clash, mainly because they are competing for the same inner desire (authority for ESTJ/INFP) and due to critic (6th slot) functions nitpicking the other's trickster (7th slot) which can feel unfair. I've found that making friends with the next closest personality to your aspiration but stick to the same sensor vs. intuitive divide can allow for a teacher role for both people to help grow into your inferior functions without the pressures of feeling judged for your mistakes as much. In the case of ESTJ that would be ISFP and for INFP, finding an ENTJ works surprisingly well.

I'm an INTJ married to an ISTJ, so I really enjoyed the comparative. I do study/think about the past in terms of how people lived or what knowledge they had that's been forgotten by society. As an INTJ our minds definitely have that rapid fire thinking ability versus the ISTJ seem to be more methodical and don't like to be rushed, that's what I've observed.

I like that background. I'm aware that this is probably a green screen. But the color composition and the feeling of old knowledge it gives off is nice.
